In 2014, we organized the 2nd International QCA Expert Workshop at ETH Zurich. Between 5-7 November 2014, we invited 28 researchers from eight countries to present their latest works on QCA. The 2nd International QCA Expert Workshop continued the workshop of 2013 with the financial support of the SNSF in 2013. With the 2nd International QCA Expert Workshop we brought together an group of junior and senior academics, including some of the most influential international QCA experts from QCA’s core fields (e.g. political sciences, sociology, management). During the last year, the developments around QCA have rapidly accelerated and the scientific community involved in QCA-related research in Switzerland continuous to grow. With this extended group, we discussed recent methodological challenges and to develop a roadmap for important future developments of QCA. The workshop reinforced Switzerland’s international recognition as a major innovation hub for the development and application of QCA-related research across all levels of the academic hierarchy.
