SUMMARY:Introduction to Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) using R
DESCRIPTION:This five-day\, in-person course introduces Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA)\, a set-theoretic method for analyzing small\, intermediate\, and large numbers of cases. Participants learn to identify necessary and sufficient conditions and to model causal complexity. The course combines theory with hands-on practice\, covering calibration\, set relations\, truth tables\, logical minimization\, the Standard Analysis\, and the interpretation and presentation of results. Participants replicate a published study in R and can apply QCA to their own projects. \nInstructor: Eva Thomann\, University of Konstanz

SUMMARY:Advanced Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) (online)
DESCRIPTION:This five-day online course builds on introductory QCA and covers recent developments in set-theoretic methods. Topics include limited diversity and the Enhanced Standard Analysis\, robustness and sensitivity checks\, clustered data\, and set-theoretic theory evaluation. The course also covers set-theoretic multi-method research\, including how to combine QCA with process tracing. All analyses use R. \nInstructor: Ioana-Elena Oana\, University of Amsterdam

SUMMARY:Introduction to Causal Process Tracing (online)
DESCRIPTION:This five-day online course introduces process tracing as a within-case method for tracing causal mechanisms between a trigger and an outcome. It covers the method’s core assumptions and applicability\, causal mechanisms\, theory development\, data gathering and analysis\, and drawing inferences. The course is hands-on: participants design and plan a full process-tracing study linked to their own research. \n\nInstructor: Hilde van Meegdenburg\, Leiden University
